Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern CA Division is seeking a part-time Guest Services Associate to act as the primary contact for members, guests, and volunteers at the East County Red Shield Center. You will ensure a welcoming, safe environment, process memberships and sales, handle cash, and promote programs and services that meet guests’ needs.

You will greet visitors, respond to inquiries, manage registrations, and maintain a professional reception area while upholding Protecting the Mission

Qualifications

• Previous customer service and point-of-sale experience preferred.
• Must have or obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 90 days.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and direct them to programs and services.
• Process memberships, registrations, reservations, and retail transactions accurately.
• Handle cash and balance tills in accordance with policies.
• Promote memberships, programs, events, and services to guests.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
• Observe safety rules and protect mission policies.
