Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Guest Services Associate to welcome guests at the Red Shield Center and Corps campus, delivering outstanding customer service and accurate information. You will greet visitors, process registrations and memberships, handle cash with accuracy, and promote programs and services in alignment with agency values.

You will contribute to a welcoming environment, assist with event setup, and support daily operations while maintaining confidentiality

Qualifications

• Previous customer service and POS experience.
• Clear and effective communication with customers, peers & supervisors.
• Maintain confidentiality of all client information.
• Must obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 90 days.
• Professional attitude and problem-solving approach.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong command of English, both written and oral.
• Criminal background check required for Protect the Mission policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to members, guests, clients, volunteers, and visitors.
• Greet visitors, respond to inquiries, direct to programs and services.
• Process memberships, registrations, reservations, and retail transactions.
• Maintain cash-handling procedures and balance tills, deposits and records.
• Promote memberships, programs, events, and services to guests.
• Conduct facility tours and explain amenities and benefits.
• Build positive relationships with members and community partners.
• Assist with event prep, room setup, and program activities.
• Monitor interactions to ensure safety and compliance with policies.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Keep reception area organized, clean, and welcoming.
• Follow operating procedures and safety regulations.
