Job summary

PCH Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Recreation Attendant for our Opelika, AL property. This on-site, part-time role focuses on maintaining the pool and recreational areas, assisting guests with activities, and ensuring safety and cleanliness throughout the facilities.

You will engage with guests, set up equipment, supervise beach and watercraft activities, and manage related paperwork. The position emphasizes hospitality with a proactive safety role and participation in Grand National’s guest

Qualifications

• Maintaining cleanliness of recreational areas.
• Proactive hospitality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of the pool area daily.
• Empty trash receptacles as needed.
• Clean the pool deck and surrounding surface areas.
• Enforce pool rules for safety and enjoyment.
• Monitor pool chemical levels and balance water sanitation.
• Ensure the slide is safe and functional through routine checks.
• Complete pool-related paperwork (tickets, reports, chemical records).
• Operate the sand pro to keep the beach area clean.
• Set up beach chairs and umbrellas for guests.
• Operate watercraft (Hobie cats, sunfish, kayaks, sea cycles, chase boats) for safety and guest enjoyment.
• Handle beach activity paperwork (tickets, reports).
• Act as a liaison between hotel and guests, providing exceptional hospitality.
• Assist with children check-in and release paperwork during activities.
• Oversee Grand Fun Camp (four-hour period) prioritizing safety and enjoyment of children.
• Supervise group activities and crafts.
