Job summary

The Minnesota Orchestra is seeking part-time ushers to facilitate a positive audience experience and promote the organization. You will uphold Audience Services standards, stay informed on Orchestra Hall offerings, and assist with training fellow ushers and department projects.

This on-site role requires strong English communication, prior customer service experience, and an interest in music/arts. Schedule varies with concerts; wage range is $16.00–$18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years old.
• Strong verbal English communication skills.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Background in music and/or the arts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date information concerning Orchestra Hall products, services, facilities, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate items to customers and employees accurately and fairly.
• Explain event seating plans to customers.
• Explain emergency procedures and act accordingly in emergencies.
• Uphold Audience Services standards of service— advocacy, efficiency and courtesy.
• Assist with training and mentoring of other ushers.
• Assist Audience Services Management with department tasks and projects.
