Job summary

Cambria Plymouth is seeking a friendly, customer-service oriented Houseperson to maintain cleanliness of public spaces and guest areas. This part-time role is located in Plymouth, MA and involves moving furniture, assisting housekeepers, and ensuring guests have a welcoming environment.

You will perform basic cleaning, report guest property, and work with a team to meet hotel standards. Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work nights, weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience
• Previous houseperson experience preferred, but not required
• Continuous standing 90% of time
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. limited
• Pushing up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to work independently
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
• Hours required: Eight-hour shift; scheduled days and times may vary based on need

Responsibilities

• Provide basic housekeeping duties for all public spaces including vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal
• Report and return any guest properties that were left behind
• Report cases of property damage to supervisor
• Work with a team of housekeepers on each shift
• Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order
• Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special guest needs
• Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management
