Job summary

Division Big Red Restaurant & Sports Bar - Lincoln West in Lincoln, NE invites applications for a Host. The Host greets guests at the door, seats them promptly, and presents menus in a friendly, professional manner to create a positive first impression.

This position supports dining room flow and delivers a welcoming guest experience. Responsibilities include managing wait times, observing tables, assisting with carry-out, and performing side work as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of age.
• Excellent communication skills when interacting with management, servers, team members and guests.
• Must be able to read, write, and determine wait time based on company’s procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, present menus to guests and inform them of any feature menus.
• Treat guests in a manner to ensure their satisfaction.
• Observe tables and keep track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables.
• Take guest information for our waiting list and quote wait time to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.
• Clean, organize, and stock menus.
• Interact with guests coming in and as they leave, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Perform side work as needed
• Help with carry out as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
