Division Big Red Restaurant & Sports Bar - Lincoln West in Lincoln, NE invites applications for a Host. The Host greets guests at the door, seats them promptly, and presents menus in a friendly, professional manner to create a positive first impression.

This position supports dining room flow and delivers a welcoming guest experience. Responsibilities include managing wait times, observing tables, assisting with carry-out, and performing side work as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of age.
• Excellent communication skills when interacting with management, servers, team members and guests.
• Must be able to read, write, and determine wait time based on company’s procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, present menus to guests and inform them of any feature menus.
• Treat guests in a manner to ensure their satisfaction.
• Observe tables and keep track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables.
• Take guest information for our waiting list and quote wait time to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.
• Clean, organize, and stock menus.
• Interact with guests coming in and as they leave, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Perform side work as needed

Position Summary

Big Red Restaurant & Sports Bar, 955 O Street, Lincoln, NEhas an excellent opportunity for hosts in our high volume, full-service restaurant and sports bar.

The Host provides warm, friendly, and immediate greetings to our guests at the door. Seats, and presents clean menus to guests in a friendly, professional, and quick manner. The host is the first face our guests see and interact with.

Position Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Your smile is a must! The host creates the atmosphere for the entire flow of the restaurant.
• Greet and seat guests, present menus to guests and inform them of any feature menus.
• Treat guests in a manner to ensure their satisfaction.
• Observe tables and keep track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables.
• Take guest information for our waiting list and quote wait time to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.
• Clean, organize, and stock menus.
