Job summary

Big Red Restaurant & Sports Bar in Omaha, NE, is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess for a high-volume, full-service venue. You will greet guests at the door, seat them, present menus, and help manage the waiting list to ensure a smooth dining flow.

Essential duties include maintaining a clean, organized entrance, communicating wait times accurately, and supporting the team with side work and carry-out as needed. Previous hospitality experience is a plus; reliable transportation is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years of age.
• Excellent communication skills when interacting with management, servers, team members and guests.
• Must be able to read, write, and determine wait time based on company’s procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, present menus to guests and inform them of any feature menus.
• Treat guests in a manner to ensure their satisfaction.
• Observe tables and keep track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables.
• Take guest information for our waiting list and quote wait time to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.
• Clean, organize, and stock menus.
• Interact with guests coming in and as they leave, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Perform side work as needed
• Help with carry out as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
