Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, stock shelves, and help unload merchandise with diligence and care.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to follow instructions. Part-time hours at the Clinton, IL location offer opportunities to contribute to a busy store while developing practical retail skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment as per standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and waste management.
• Other duties as assigned.
