Hampden-Sydney College is accepting applications for a part-time groundskeeper. Reporting directly to the Supervisor of Grounds, the responsibilities include maintaining the College’s grounds, trails, flowerbeds, shrubbery, and trees, involving operation of motorized equipment and hand tools. Duties include mowing, watering lawns, raking leaves, digging holes, weeding, pruning, and hauling topsoil/mulch. Candidates must be able to lift heavy loads and work in bending or standing positions. Hazard weather duties and special event support are required as needed.

Qualifications: Must be able to operate lawn care equipment, be at least 18 years old, and hold a valid Virginia driver’s license. Hours are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed.
