Qualifications

• Partial High School education required; High School Diploma/G.E.D. preferred.
• Culinary knowledge.
• Food Safety certified and strong sanitation habits.
• Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
• Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.

Responsibilities

• Set up, restock, and break down the grill.
• Produce daily meal items and daily specials.
• Prepare daily specials, hot sandwiches, and sides for service.
• Follow recipes and directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking meats and vegetables.
• Operate kitchen equipment, prep ingredients, and trim meat and poultry.
• Report malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
• Taste, estimate requirements, and maintain production records.
• Control food production to minimize waste and recycle where possible.
• Clean all equipment and utensils in the grill area.
• Maintain temperature logs and signage for the grill station.
• Follow safety practices and report issues to management.
