Job summary

Highmark Caring Place is seeking a part-time Grief and Clinical Services Specialist to support evening peer groups for grieving children and their families. The role includes coordinating volunteers, conducting assessments, and ensuring safety and supportive care in a hybrid Pittsburgh-based setting.

The position requires a Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field, with 0–2 years in mental health settings and availability for evening hours.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
• Substitutions: None.
• 0–2 years experience with children/families in mental health settings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement introductory and ongoing peer support sessions for grieving children and their families.
• Conduct thorough assessments to determine family suitability for the Caring Place program or other services.
• Provide guidance and support for volunteer team during sessions.
• Participate in training of peer support volunteers.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.
