Job summary

Monmouth University seeks an Adjunct Professor of Graphic Design to join the Art and Design department for in-person, on-campus instruction at the West Long Branch campus. Duties include teaching 3–6 credits per semester, developing lectures and assignments, and meeting with students as needed.

Minimum qualifications include an MFA/MS/MA in graphic design or related field, plus the ability to teach concepts across print and interactive design using Adobe Creative Suite CC and beyond.

Qualifications

• MFA/MS/MA in graphic design or closely-aligned field.
• Experience teaching beginning to intermediate graphic and interactive design concepts.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite CC and beyond.
• Ability to teach print to interactive design projects.

Responsibilities

• Teach 3–6 credits during the semester.
• Develop and deliver lectures, discussions and assignments per curriculum.
• Provide time to meet with students outside of class.
• Foster an inclusive learning environment and student engagement.
• Develop projects and exams to evaluate learning outcomes and provide timely grades.
• Provide timely feedback and guidance to students.
