Job summary

Monmouth University, located at the West Long Branch, NJ campus, is seeking an Adjunct Professor to teach Art Appreciation on-site. The position is part-time with a flexible schedule and expects teaching 3–6 credits during the semester; the candidate should deliver lectures, discussions, and assignments aligned with the curriculum and learning objectives.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree or higher in Art or a related field and has experience teaching art or art history.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Art or related field, or combination with teaching art/history.

Responsibilities

• Teach 3-6 credits during the semester.
• Develop and deliver course lectures, discussions and assignments in accordance with the curriculum and learning objectives.
• Provide time during the week to meet with students outside of class.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student engagement and academic success.
• Develop and administer projects and exams to evaluate student learning outcomes and provide grades in a timely manner.
• Provide timely feedback and guidance to students to support their learning and development.
