Job summary

Lowell Public School District Lowell High School 9-12 in Lowell, MA is seeking a Graduation Mentor to support students at risk of dropping out. You will work with students, families, and staff to provide interventions and remove barriers to graduation, reporting to the Director of Student Resource Center.

The position is not to exceed 20 hours per week and starts immediately. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree (preferred) and DESE license (preferred).

Qualifications

• Experience working with adolescents.
• Excellent oral, written, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school-based administrators to identify student caseload and maintain a process for referrals for current or incoming high school students.
• Meet with students and families to identify potential barriers to success.
• Communicate with school personnel and community partners.
• Identify and enlist alternative pathways as deemed appropriate and assist students in accessing resources.
• Participate in school-based and home meetings and conduct home visits.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Resource Center
