Job summary

Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton, California, is seeking a Part-Time Golf Shop Attendant to assist guests with tee times, merchandise, and facility information. The role is inside and outside, with afternoons and weekends required, and opportunities to learn and grow within Troon, a global leader in golf and club management.

You will maintain a professional appearance, provide courteous service, handle POS payments, process reservations, and help with inventory display and daily shop

Qualifications

• Must be highly motivated, goal driven and self-starter.
• Must acquire basic computer knowledge.
• Must have strong customer/guest orientation.
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be dependable.
• Knowledge about the game of golf preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional appearance.
• Provide sincere and courteous service to all golfers with items such as bag handling and club cleaning.
• Process customer reservations for guests of the golf course.
• Provide customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in process.
• Arrange and display golf shop inventory as necessary and directed.
• Collects green and cart fees (and other revenue) from guests and processes in the point-of-sale (POS) system as trained.
• Issues receipts for guest purchases.
• Takes messages for staff or guests.
• Assist in packing and unpacking inventory and golf operations supplies.
• Assist in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges to daily register at the closing of the day.
• Performs clean-up and closing procedures.
• Directs start of play when necessary.
• Maintains accurate records of rental clubs and carts.
• Assists with food and beverage activities.
• Performs beginning of day set up and end of day tasks as necessary.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
