Job summary

Sun Communities, Inc. is seeking a Golf Course Marshal for a part-time position. The role involves patrolling the golf course to keep pace, assisting golfers, reporting maintenance issues, and answering questions to ensure a smooth experience.

Responsibilities include setting up the course each morning, managing pace of play, and engaging with residents and guests in a friendly, courteous manner while promoting safety and enjoyment for spectators.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months knowledge operating and maintaining electric golf carts, chargers and compressors (preferred).
• Must have a valid drivers license.
• Basic computer proficiency, including email/internet.
• General knowledge of golf course etiquette and rules.
• Professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the pace of play and reduces distractions (Essential).
• Locates and protects errant golf balls (Essential).
• Sets up the course in the morning (Essential).
• Communicates with residents and guests of the golf course in a friendly and courteous manner (Essential).
• Promotes safety and enjoyment of the spectators (Essential).
• Fills divots with seed mixture and fixes ball marks on the greens (Essential).
• Ensures all residents and guests adhere to the golf course dress code.
• Markets the golf course, membership and special rates to the daily fee players.
• Other duties as assigned
