Job summary

Sun Communities in Florida is seeking a Golf Course Marshal to monitor pace of play, assist golfers, and report issues to maintenance. They help guests and residents with questions and maintain course safety.

Responsibilities include locating balls, setting up the course in the morning, promoting dress code, and marketing course and memberships to daily fee players; strong customer service and a professional appearance are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• 6 months in demonstrated knowledge of operating and maintaining electric golf carts, chargers and compressors (Preferred).
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet.
• General knowledge of golf course etiquette and rules.
• Professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the pace of place and reduces distractions (Essential).
• Locates and protects errant golf balls (Essential).
• Sets up the course in the morning (Essential).
• Communicates with residents and guests of the golf course in a friendly and courteous manner (Essential).
• Promotes safety and enjoyment of the spectators (Essential).
• Fills divots with seed mixture and fixes ball marks on the greens (Essential).
• Ensures all residents and guests adhere to the golf course dress code
• Markets the golf course, membership and special rates to the daily fee players
• Other duties as assigned
