Job summary

Sun Communities & Sun Outdoors is seeking a Golf Course Marshal on-site at the golf course in New York. The role focuses on keeping pace of play, assisting golfers, and reporting maintenance issues to the team. You will interact with residents and guests in a friendly, professional manner.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license, plus strong communication and customer service skills. Experience operating electric golf carts is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 6 months in demonstrated knowledge of operating and maintaining electric golf carts, chargers and compressors (Preferred)
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
• Strong communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• General knowledge of golf course etiquette and rules
• Professional appearance

Responsibilities

• Monitors the pace of place and reduces distractions (Essential)
• Locates and protects errant golf balls (Essential)
• Sets up the course in the morning (Essential)
• Communicates with residents and guests of the golf course in a friendly and courteous manner (Essential)
• Promotes safety and enjoyment of the spectators (Essential)
• Fills divots with seed mixture and fixes ball marks on the greens (Essential)
• Ensures all residents and guests adhere to the golf course dress code
• Markets the golf course, membership and special rates to the daily fee players
• Other duties as assigned
