Job summary

Sun Communities is seeking Golf Course Marshal to monitor pace of play, locate and protect errant golf balls, and set up the course each morning. You will interact with residents and guests in a friendly, courteous manner and promote safety and enjoyment for spectators.

The role also involves filling divots, fixing ball marks, enforcing dress code, and marketing the course, memberships, and special rates. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months in demonstrated knowledge of operating and maintaining electric golf carts, chargers and compressors.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet.
• General knowledge of golf course etiquette and rules.
• Professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the pace of place and reduces distractions (Essential)
• Locates and protects errant golf balls (Essential)
• Sets up the course in the morning (Essential)
• Communicates with residents and guests of the golf course in a friendly and courteous manner (Essential)
• Promotes safety and enjoyment of the spectators (Essential)
• Fills divots with seed mixture and fixes ball marks on the greens (Essential)
• Ensures all residents and guests adhere to the golf course dress code
• Markets the golf course, membership and special rates to the daily fee players
• Other duties as assigned
