Job summary

Ocala Golf Club in Ocala, FL, is seeking a part-time Groundskeeper to maintain landscaping around the golf course and support a positive member experience. As an associate of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

The Groundskeeper will maintain grounds, operate irrigation, apply treatments, and support course maintenance efforts with a strong eye for detail and dependability.

Qualifications

• Design, coordinate and maintain landscaping on the golf course.
• Experience operating greens/fairway mowers preferred.
• Create spray programs for greens, tees, fairways, roughs and landscaping.
• Operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations.
• Ability to give oral and written instructions.
• Seed, fertilize, mulch and prep ground for restoration/renovation.
• Dependable and reliable performance.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized works areas on the golf course and maintenance facility.
• Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas.
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; inspects irrigation heads and waters as needed.
• Repairs irrigation system, pipes and heads as necessary.
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways.
• Trims hedges and shrubbery; maintains flower beds.
• Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf course.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
