Job summary

Ocala Golf Club in Ocala, FL, is seeking a part-time Groundskeeper to support the course maintenance team. You will be responsible for landscaping around the golf course and for contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow your knowledge of golf club operations.

Qualifications

• Must design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course.
• Experience with operating greens/fairway mowers preferred.
• Able to create spray programs for greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and landscaping.
• Able to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations.
• Ability to give oral and written instructions.
• Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation.
• Must be dependable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility.
• Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas.
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads as needed.
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed.
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways.
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds.
• Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf course.
• Performs other duties assigned by supervisor or manager.
