Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Therapy is required.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association is required.
• Upon hire: Washington Recreational Therapist Registration is required.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) from NCTRC is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides a variety of therapeutic social, recreational and diversional events for participants.
• Conducts individual assessments to identify participants' interests and needs.
• Develops and implements individual and group activities.
• Participates in interdisciplinary care planning.
• Coordinates the recreation documentation for assigned group of participants.
• Assists with training and supervising volunteers/interns and youth program assistants.
• Leads facility-wide participant-centered events.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Therapy

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire

Washington Recreational Therapist Registration upon hire

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)
