Job summary

ALTS is seeking an Operations Associate (Part-Time) in SoHo, NYC for in-person work. The role focuses on garment inventory, shipping, fulfillment, and general operational support within a fast-paced custom clothing environment.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing garment logistics, quality checks, and showroom duties. This is a part-time position paying $18/hour for 20–25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration.
• Experience using CRM systems.
• Previous experience in retail, apparel, or operations preferred.
• Able to physically handle and organize garments throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, organize, and process inbound and outbound garments, including steaming, labeling, storage, and quality control
• Manage garment shipments, including shipping labels, courier tracking, and resolving shipping issues
• Maintain accurate garment records in the CRM, conduct regular inventory audits, and monitor aging garments across the showroom and remote offices
• Manage weekly fabric outs by reviewing vendor updates and removing or identifying unavailable swatches
• Coordinate completed garment check-ins from alteration partner; including pickups, and deliveries, ensuring clear communication and timely handoffs between teams
