Hart Funeral Home - Tahlequah is seeking a part-time Funeral Assistant/Attendant to support funeral directors and assist with funeral, memorial, and related services. The role includes administrative tasks, answering phones, and responding to inquiries to ensure families receive compassionate care.

Responsibilities include assisting with dignified transport and care of the deceased, preparing for services, greeting families, and driving funeral home vehicles as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to use a computer and type.
• Proficient in MS Office and willingness to learn other software.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist funeral directors and provide support for funeral, memorial, and other services.
• Answer phones and provide administrative support.
• Assist with dignified transport and care of the deceased when required (removals, lifting, carrying, transporting).
• Prepare for services with floral arrangements, caskets, urns, and keepsakes.
• Greet families and provide information and support as needed.
• Drive company vehicles for services and family transportation.
