Chicken Express in Tomball, TX is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare and cook a variety of items with a focus on quality and consistency. You will manage fryers, marination, batter preparation, and maintain cleanliness while collaborating with the team to meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities include fryer safety procedures, temperature settings, marination planning, load management, filter and grease upkeep, and ensuring food safety throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Fryer management: conduct fryer safety procedures and set fryer temperatures (330°F/350°F) as required.
• Marination process: prepare marination mix with salt, water and ice, and schedule marination times.
• Fryer designation for food safety: assign fryer duties, control load quantities, cook times and stirring intervals.
• Filter maintenance: sift flour; change filters every two loads for fryer and grease care.
• Grease and side fryer management: switch side fryers after lunch and dinner rushes.
• Product marination and batter: marinate tenders/chicken/livers/gizzards and prepare batter; monitor and refresh as needed.
