JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Center for the Performing Arts in the College of Arts and Architecture is seeking applicants for part‑time front‑of‑house event team members.

• Welcoming and directing patrons
• Lobby and event space set‑up
• Scanning tickets for entry
• Assuring patron safety
• Assisting with volunteer usher management
• Providing the best possible customer service experience for visitors.

Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies: Successful candidates must be current Penn State students who have or wish to develop excellent communication and customer service skills. Resume required, cover letter optional.

Schedule: This position requires evening hours and some weekends. Hours vary and schedules are determined based on the weekly event schedule.

Compensation

The starting rate for this job is $15/hour.
