Job summary

Wake Technical Community College is expanding its pool of part-time faculty to teach non-degree Workforce Continuing Education courses across pathways such as Multimedia Designer/Animator, UI/UX Designer/Developer, Video Game Designer, and Web Designer. Courses may be delivered on campus, through Microsoft Teams, at employer or community sites, or in another format based on needs.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements include an Associate or higher degree.
Five years of professional work experience required.
An equivalent combination of education, industry experience, teaching experience, and credentials may be considered.

Responsibilities

Prepares course plans and instructional materials aligned with learning objectives and credential requirements.
Delivers instruction in in-person, live-online, blended, or other approved formats.
Assesses student learning and provides timely feedback on progress toward outcomes.
Maintains attendance, grades, rosters, and required records by deadlines.
Creates a safe, inclusive, organized learning environment.
Uses College-approved instructional technologies and industry practices to support learning.
Communicates course expectations, schedules, grading criteria, credential requirements, and progress clearly.
Maintains current subject-matter expertise and participates in orientation, training, evaluations, and professional development.
Collaborates with College personnel to maintain course quality and meet goals.
