Job summary

Gwinnett Technical College invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty - Web Design position. This part-time, non-benefited role reports to the Program Director – Web Design in the Computer Science Division. Courses cover Web Design/Development, scripting, and related IT topics, with a focus on hands-on instruction.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s (or Master’s) in the field, at least two years of relevant work experience, and is credentialed by accrediting bodies for assigned courses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in field and 18 graduate hours in field; OR Master’s degree in field.
• Minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
• Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the courses assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for specified courses.
• Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports.
• Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; follows organizational structure with trustworthy behavior.
• Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through.
• Assists with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.
• May be required to act as a Campus Security Authority; completes responsibilities and trainings.
• Performs other duties as assigned to Gwinnett.
