Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Kansas is seeking a Customer Service Associate II to support daily store operations, assist customers, and ensure a clean, welcoming environment. You will be cross-trained to run the cash register and assist with front-end duties as needed.

This role requires strong customer service, communication, and math skills for cash handling; physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for long periods; high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail or grocery is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, and bending.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision‑making skills are required.
• High level of integrity is required.
• Proficiency in basic math for cash accounting is required.

Responsibilities

• Receiving merchandise, unloading trucks, and processing freight in a safe manner in accordance with productivity standards
• Merchandising and stocking as needed
• Assisting with cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
• Ensuring a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Managing sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintaining security of cash and protecting company assets
• Other duties as assigned
