Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Guard in Fairfax, VA to serve clients across industries, manage front-desk access, and support visitor management with professional service. The role emphasizes security procedures and strong communication at a professional office location.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Manage front-desk access by greeting visitors, verifying identification and appointments, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and security-related systems from a stationary front-desk post; report unusual activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying Allied Universal leadership and/or emergency services as appropriate.
