Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for a guest checkpoint at a financial institution in Charlotte, NC. You will provide a welcoming front-desk presence, manage access control, verify visitor IDs, and maintain accurate logs while delivering professional customer service.

You will work with flexible day schedules, focusing on safety, incident response, and clear communication with building staff and tenants.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and/or contractors at a front desk within a financial institution location.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor identification, issue visitor credentials, and maintain logs per site policies.
• Answer and direct incoming calls, provide directions and assistance, and communicate professionally with building personnel and emergency responders.
• Monitor security systems, alarms, cameras, and equipment, and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow established emergency procedures.
