Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Front Desk Enhanced for a part-time role at a government office in Harrisonburg, VA. The position offers reliable, fixed hours with the option to earn more by taking additional shifts.

Pay rate is $18.00 per hour, with a schedule that includes daytime shifts on Fridays. You will greet visitors, verify identifications, log visitor activity, route calls, and respond to incidents in a calm, professional manner while upholding security and access

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• 18+ years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, professional customer service at the front desk of a government office, greeting visitors and directing them to appropriate departments or services.
• Monitor visitor access, verify identification, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor logs.
• Answer and route incoming calls, provide general information, and communicate visitor arrivals to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents and emergencies following established procedures.
• Maintain awareness of front desk activity and report security concerns to appropriate personnel.
