Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced – Reception Operations in Washington, DC. This flexible, site-based role offers reliable hours with opportunities to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings while gaining experience in a leading security organization.

The role requires 2+ years of law enforcement or related experience and a high school diploma. You will manage the front desk, greet visitors, verify IDs, monitor entry points and cameras, and respond to incidents

Qualifications

• 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check will be conducted per federal, state, and local laws.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, staff, students, and guests.
• Manage the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying identification, maintaining visitor logs, issuing access credentials, and directing individuals.
• Monitor entry points, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems; report unusual activity and maintenance issues.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; contact appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Assist with access control, reception communications, and general front desk support.
