Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Front Desk Enhanced for a part-time role in Charlottesville, VA. The position offers flexible, anchor shifts with opportunities to pick up extra shifts through our Earn More program.

You will manage front desk security procedures, visitor screening, and access control, while delivering reliable customer service in a technology-focused site. Pay rate is $22.00 per hour with a schedule that includes DayTime Fri 06:00 PM - 04:00 AM.

Qualifications

CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Must be at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles).
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Background check will be conducted to comply with laws.
Drug screen is required where permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may be needed prior to employment.
Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location.
Monitor front desk access, greet and screen visitors, verify credentials, issue passes.
Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records; report arrivals to site contacts.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies following procedures.
Observe activity and deter unauthorized access at front desk and entry areas.
