Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer in New York, NY. This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings while gaining diverse site experience.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen to be conducted as allowed by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors and the public while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Maintain an armed presence in accordance with laws, licensing requirements and Allied Universal policies and report concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and coordinate with emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, entry points and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access activity, verify visitor authorization and document incidents using site procedures.
