Job summary

Allied Universal, McLean, VA, seeks a Part-Time Security Officer Visitor Reception and Access Control to greet visitors, manage access, and sustain a secure front desk at a luxury retail location. The role supports customer service excellence and adherence to site policies.

The position offers part-time hours with a pay rate of $22.40 per hour. Candidates must meet minimum requirements including a high school diploma and background check, with background and drug screening conducted as per law.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and associates at a luxury retail front desk while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify appointments and credentials, maintain visitor logs, and issue access credentials in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and security-related systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Support a professional retail environment by providing directions, answering inquiries, and assisting with access control and package or delivery procedures.
