Job summary

McCoy’s Building Supply is seeking a part-time Yard Crewmember in Richwood, TX to assist customers in the lumberyard, operate a forklift, stock products, and provide general store support.

The role includes greeting customers, loading and unloading, answering product questions, maintaining yard cleanliness, and performing safety checks on forklifts. Forklift certification is required; high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift operator certification required.
• Successful completion of on-the-job training; levels 1 and 2 of positional training.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers as they enter the yard.
• Loads and unloads products into customers, vendors, and company vehicles safely and accurately.
• Responds to customer questions regarding products.
• Informs store management or supervisor of customer complaints or requests.
• Moves, stocks, and rearranges building materials in the yard, warehouse, and interior of store.
• Performs routine safety checks on forklifts per company guidelines.
• Maintains cleanliness and appearance of the lumberyard and warehouses.
• Verifies customer or vendor tickets match merchandise being loaded.
• Covers exposed materials to prevent weather damage.
• Cuts lumber and related materials as requested by the customer.
• Operates a forklift.
• Attends all store meetings and training sessions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
