Job summary

The Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Temp/Part-time Food Service Specialist I for the Ardmore Veterans Home. You will assist in preparing, cooking, and serving foods for regular and special diets while maintaining sanitary kitchen conditions and following diet orders. This is a part-time, temporary role offering $18.00 per hour for 24 hours per week.

Education is not required. You will work under supervision, perform routine tasks, and develop standard skills in food service

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepares foods, salads, and desserts and assists with cooking as needed.
• Cleans and sanitizes kitchen areas and utensils following diet orders.
