Job summary

RISD Dining and Catering is seeking temporary, part-time Food Service Workers to join its on-campus dining department. Responsibilities include preparing basic kitchen items, washing, cutting, and presenting ingredients, and setting up dining locations across campus.

You will interact with customers, maintain cleanliness, and support culinary staff in serving meals. Flexibility to work at various campus locations is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of restaurant, college or campus cafe-style food service experience preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete basic kitchen, commissary and catering items per specifications.
• Wash, peel, cut, handle, present and store ingredients.
• Set up and break down dining locations across campus.
• Operate dish machines and ensure cleanliness of dishes and surfaces.
• Serve customers professionally and courteously.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, floors and work areas.
