Job summary

RISD Dining is seeking part-time Dining Experience Associates to join its in-house dining, catering, markets and vending program. You will support local farms through seasonal menus and deliver culinary artistry to the RISD community.

DEA roles require professional service, independent work, and flexible shifts across campus locations. Cash handling and daily receipts will be reconciled; health and sanitation standards must be followed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience in restaurant, college or cafe-style food service preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Prior cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and opens any Dining location campus-wide.
• Receives, stocks and displays items pertaining to operation; checks condiments and beverages.
• Handles cash and reconciles daily receipts; maintains cashier’s log.
• Follows opening/closing procedures and health/sanitation standards.
• Keeps areas clean and restocked; ensures front-of-house areas are maintained.
