Job summary

Community Teamwork is hiring a Food Service Assistant (Part Time) to support the CTI Child and Family Services Division in Lowell, MA. You will help prepare snacks and meals and manage cart setup, delivery, and breakdown.

The position emphasizes food safety, hygiene, and adherence to CACFP regulations, with opportunities to participate in meetings and trainings; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of food preparation and nutrition.
• Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation.
• Recent Physical and MMR immunity.
• Ability to pass CORI and background check which includes fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of snacks and meals.
• Set up, deliver, pick up and break down of meal carts.
• Maintain CACFP (Child Adult Care Food Program) logs
• Maintain clean work areas including prep tables, storage spaces, refrigerators and stoves, and trash removal in accordance with sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Wash dishes, pots, and pans and run dish machine.
• Maintain strict food safety and personal hygiene standards.
• Attend regular food service meetings and mandatory food service trainings.
• Follow compliance regulations for local state and federal CACFP.
• Uphold the values of CTI - Equity, Integrity, Compassion.
