Job summary

Second Helpings Atlanta is seeking a part-time Food Rescue Driver to join the Operations team in Atlanta. You will ensure timely pickups and deliveries of donated food, load and unload donations, and support warehouse operations at the SHA facility.

The candidate should hold a Georgia driver's license, maintain a clean driving record, and have experience driving commercial vehicles (CDL not required). Fork Lift certification or willingness to obtain is a plus, as is ability to lift up to 50

Qualifications

Georgia driver's license required.
Clear background and driving record checks required.
Experience driving a 26-ft (or larger) box truck; CDL not required.
Fork Lift Certification or willingness to obtain.
Ability to operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor.

Responsibilities

Drive vehicles in SHA fleet (sprinter van, 26 ft box trucks) for pickups and deliveries.
Load and unload donations; weigh and pack as needed.
Track driving hours and maintain logs and inspections.
Support fleet maintenance as needed.
Receive donations into warehouse and store them properly.
Organize pallet slots, stack and label inventory.
Follow food safety protocols and report issues promptly.
