Job summary

Second Harvest of South Georgia, Inc. is seeking a Food Donor and Logistics Coordinator to connect donors, drivers, and warehouse operations, ensuring safe and efficient movement of donated food to the communities we serve.

The role combines professional relations, logistics planning, fleet monitoring, and hands-on warehouse support to rescue food, reduce waste, and feed families across South Georgia.

Qualifications

• A college degree in logistics, supply-chain management, business, nonprofit management, agriculture, or related field preferred.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, food distribution, warehouse operations, or inventory control preferred.
• Forklift operation experience preferred and training/certification with forklift may be required.
• Experience with databases, inventory-management systems, transportation software, Microsoft Office, and electronic record-keeping systems preferred.
• Familiarity with Samsara or fleet-management/telematics systems is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Visit donors and build professional relationships to coordinate donations and pickups.
• Develop and coordinate donor pickup schedules and logistics across facilities.
• Monitor fleet performance and driver activity using telematics systems.
• Maintain accurate donation, pickup, delivery, and transportation records.
• Ensure compliance with food-safety requirements and organizational policies.
• Support warehouse and inventory processes including receiving and stock checks.
