Job summary

The Atlanta Community Food Bank is looking for a dedicated Driver to join our Logistics / Supply Chain team. This in-office role at our East Point location involves delivering food and essentials to partners and community programs, while upholding high safety and customer service standards.

You will operate Food Bank vehicles, follow routes, perform vehicle inspections, and ensure accurate deliveries. Expect weekend hours, flexible scheduling, and a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Valid Georgia Class B CDL.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) required.
• Experience operating a Class B vehicle.
• Safe driving record.
• Ability to provide a MVR meeting requirements.
• DOT Clearinghouse query completed with no disqualifying records.
• Meet all Driver Qualification (DQ) File requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, transport, and deliver food and other items to partners, agencies, programs, donors, and events.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and report safety concerns.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy before departure and on arrival.
• Load/unload using appropriate equipment and safe handling practices.
• Follow routes and schedules, adapt to changing priorities.
• Operate trucks, lift gates, pallets, forklifts per policies.
• Comply with DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain delivery documentation and records.
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries and pickups.
