Job Description

Company Overview:

Sunriver Brewing Company is a family-owned business founded in Central Oregon in 2012. Almost 300 team members represent three pubs and a brewery located in Central Oregon with an additional pub in Eugene.We are dedicated to awesome craft beer, delicious food, and engaging service. We're looking for an experienced hospitality worker to join our team and operations at our Oakway Pub in Eugene in a hybrid role as server/ bartender/ fill-in PM closing shift supervisor.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a professional, high-energy FOH hospitality worker with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate is well versed in all FOH restaurant operations from bartending to serving, opening and closing, and running a successful shift from start to finish. Serving duties include greeting guests, making recommendations, taking orders, upselling, timely delivery of orders, and contributing to a clean and sanitary restaurant environment. Additional duties as bartender include pouring and serving our award- winning craft beer, classic cocktails, and rotating seasonal cocktails to our customers. The bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages. You will also upsell items, create recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties. As a PM closing shift supervisor you check out FOH teammates, over see all closing duties of evening staff, complete the final walk through of the building at the end of the shift, and close and secure the building at the end of the night.

To succeed in this role you should have an engaging, friendly personality and a positive attitude. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and have the ability to work well under pressure with hosts, bussers, cooks, and other staff. At least 2 years of previous work experience in a supervisory role in a fast-paced customer service environment is a must.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude.
• Write patrons' food orders and enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.
• Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers.
• Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
• Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
• Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
• Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner.
• Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.
• Overseeing successful shifts through team accountability of all job duties.
• Safely closing and securing the facility at the end of the shift.
• All other duties as assigned.
