Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a part-time Produce Clerk to process, package, stock and maintain floral products to established standards. The role includes cleaning work areas, loading/unloading, and delivering friendly customer service, with duties of produce clerk when assigned.

Associates must be at least 16 and able to read, write and understand English; training and safety procedures will be provided, with opportunities to grow within the store's team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English; ability to write simple correspondence in English.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates who only speak English.

Responsibilities

• Process/package/stock floral products to standards.
• Maintain and stock floral displays; clean work areas.
• Provide customer service; unload stock and reload salvage.
• Perform duties of produce clerk when assigned.
