Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Part Time Float Pharmacy Technician to support Genoa mental health pharmacy operations. You will dispense prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and handle clerical duties while rotating across sites within a 30-mile radius of Portage, IN.

Hours are 8-hour shifts, 3 days per week, typically 8:30am–5:00pm with a lunch break. The base location is Portage, IN, with coverage at other nearby sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Indiana.
• Ability to use your own car to travel to other sites.
• Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff.
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the pharmacist.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
• Assists pharmacist in pharmacy functions and ensures compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Performs clerical duties related to the department.
• Maintains professional verbal and written communication.
• Other duties as assigned.
