Job summary

Ambler Dental Arts seeks a friendly Dental Receptionist to join our Lower Gwynedd, PA practice. This part-time role handles front desk tasks, patient communications, and administrative support to ensure a smooth patient experience.

You will greet patients, manage calls, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and assist with billing while maintaining an organized reception area. Prior dental office exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous dental/medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Dentrix or other dental practice management software preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and create a positive first impression.
• Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries professionally.
• Confirm appointments and manage patient recalls.
• Assist patients with paperwork and office procedures.
• Coordinate communication between patients and clinical staff.
• Schedule and manage appointments to maximize productivity and satisfaction.
• Check patients in and out and verify demographics and insurance.
• Explain treatment estimates and financial arrangements to patients.
• Process co-pays and payments and maintain records.
• Assist with insurance claims and follow-up as needed.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming reception area.
• Support office projects and outreach programs.
