Job summary

County Fleet Services is seeking a part-time Fleet Shop Helper to support shop management and operations. This role involves significant physical labor, vehicle movement, check-in tasks, and occasional service desk support.

Applicants must be 18+ with a high school diploma or GED and a Utah driver’s license, plus the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on concrete floors in all weather conditions. Part-time schedule up to 29 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• A valid Utah driver’s license at hire; license within 6 months to operate County vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe shop; identify potential hazards.
• Assist with vehicle check-in, decals, paperwork, and vehicle prep.
• Transport and shuttle light-duty County vehicles between facilities.
• Locate, stage, and deliver vehicles to technician bays.
• Assist service desk during peak times as needed.
• Perform minor mechanical tasks and vehicle cleaning.
